Burnt out and creatively bankrupt, best-selling novelist Greg Evans will do anything to break his crippling writer’s block. In a reckless quest for inspiration, he teams up with a ragtag group of paranormal investigators and ventures into the shadowy fringes of reality, where the living and the dead collide. But as they document chilling phenomena, Greg realizes that some doors are better left unopened, and that the malevolent forces lurking in the dark are far more interested in him than they are in proof. What begins as a search for answers spirals into a terrifying descent into madness, where the line between fiction and reality blurs, and the price of a story might just be his soul.
