In this chillingly atmospheric 1955 thriller, John Preston’s idyllic life with his new wife Sally is shattered by a haunting presence from his past. As the enigmatic Sylvia arrives in Deanbridge with a dark secret, Preston’s waking world blurs into a nightmare of suppressed desires and deadly impulses. Plagued by vivid dreams of violence, he feels an inescapable pull towards the abyss, seeking refuge in the dubious counsel of Doctor Walton. A masterclass in psychological dread, this film unravels a web of deception where every shadow hides a sinister truth, and the line between reality and obsession becomes terrifyingly thin. Perfect for fans of classic suspense, ‘Alias John Preston’ is a slow-burn descent into madness that will leave you questioning what is real and what is merely a prelude to murder.
