After years of peace, a retired vampire slayer is thrust back into the shadows when a formidable ancient enemy resurfaces, threatening everything she holds dear. Torn between her mundane family life and the primal instincts that once kept her alive, she must confront the terrifying truth that her past will not stay buried. But her husband, a staunch skeptic, dismisses her fears as paranoia, forcing her to seek out her estranged stepfather, the only one who might believe her and wield the knowledge to combat the looming darkness. As the nights grow longer and the whispers of the undead grow louder, she realizes that the greatest horror may not be the vampire king himself, but the isolation and disbelief that surround her. With time running out, she must convince her family of the lurking evil before the creature’s ancient power consumes them all.
