A few years ago, my friend’s family got some cat statues from a secondhand shop. The seller was eager to get rid of them, almost like they were afraid of them. My friend didn’t think much of it at first and took them home.
From the moment they arrived, strange things started happening. Everyone in the house felt uneasy around the statues, like they were being watched. My friend’s sister swore she saw one statue shift its position slightly, as if it had moved on its own. At first, they thought it was just their imagination.
But then, one night, their mother saw one of the statues turn its head when she looked away. She froze, staring at it, but it was back in place. It happened again the next night. That was enough for her. She grabbed both statues, put them in a trash bag, and took them outside.
Before she even got rid of them, the family started hearing strange noises—soft meows and low growls, even though they didn’t own a cat. Scratching sounds came from the walls, and shadows flickered in the corners of their eyes.
The next morning, the statues were gone from the trash. No one knew where they went. But after that, the strange noises stopped.
To this day, my friend refuses to bring any old statues into their home.
