In Jesse Jokela’s chilling Finnish horror, a quiet Nordic town becomes the epicenter of a malevolent invasion as ancient, flesh-hungry trolls emerge from the shadows of the forest. What begins as whispers of missing locals spirals into a waking nightmare, where the line between folklore and reality blurs. As the sun sets, the air thickens with dread, and a small group of survivors must confront the grotesque creatures that lurk just beyond the treeline. With every rustle of leaves, the terror tightens its grip, forcing them to question not only the monsters outside but the darkness within themselves. Sumu is a suffocating descent into primal fear, where the land itself seems to conspire against humanity.
