When a group of ambitious film students attempt a forbidden ritual—burning their cameras as offerings to the dead—they unwittingly open a doorway to a terror that defies comprehension. From the smoldering ashes emerge spectral ‘afterimages’: flickering, nightmarish fragments of horror films that begin to bleed into their reality. As the lines between celluloid and flesh blur, the students find themselves trapped in a relentless loop of dread, where every frame they capture becomes a death warrant. With each viewing, the images grow stronger, hungrier, and more personal, pulling them deeper into a darkness that refuses to be forgotten. Afterimages is a chilling descent into the intersection of art and obsession, where the dead don’t just haunt—they direct.
