His next assignment takes him to the infamous Dolphin Hotel in New York City, where he plans to spend one night in the dreaded Room 1408, a chamber reputed to be the site of over fifty mysterious deaths. Dismissing the hotel manager’s desperate warnings and the room’s dark history, Enslin checks in, expecting another routine night of discrediting cheap tricks. But as the clock ticks on, the room’s malevolent presence begins to warp reality itself, transforming the skeptic’s world into a terrifying descent into madness. With no way out and the line between nightmare and reality blurring, Enslin must confront a horror that defies all logic and threatens to claim his soul. Will he survive the night in 1408, or become another permanent resident of this hellish suite?

āI wasn't sure what to expect from a hotel room horror, but this one seriously exceeded my expectations. John Cusack did a great job conveying the gradual breakdown of his character, and the atmosphere was incredibly claustrophobic. There are some genuinely freaky scenes that stuck with me long after the credits rolled.ā
