From a young age, Ella began to notice unusual figures darting in and out of her vision. At just five years old, these glimpses evolved into clearer sights of people, lingering in the corners of her room. When she was seven, her younger brother passed away unexpectedly. By the time she turned nine, she saw him again, standing at the foot of her bed, looking just as he did before. She tried to call her parents, but they couldn’t see what she saw, dismissing her claims as childish imagination.

The family lived in a cozy house on the outskirts of town. Each night, just after midnight, the old grandfather clock in the hall would start to chime, marking the beginning of Ella’s nightly encounters. She often found herself on the living room couch, where the apparitions would appear—women in flowing gowns and men with playful grins, moving about as if they were celebrating a hidden festivity. Terrified, Ella would scramble into her parents’ room, only to find the door firmly shut against her pleas for comfort.

As the nights wore on, her fear turned into a habit of hiding under her blankets, squeezing her eyes shut until sleep took over. No one seemed to understand her plight, and she felt increasingly isolated in her experiences.

Years later, Ella was now thirty and had a curious eight-year-old son named Max. One evening, while tucking him in, he glanced nervously towards the darkened hallway. “Mom, sometimes I see three people in your room. They don’t look scary, but I don’t know who they are,” he said, his voice trembling. Ella’s heart raced as memories flooded back. She knelt beside his bed, realizing that the unexplainable had been passed down to her child, just as it had begun with her.
