The Mystery of the Blue Figure

In a small town, there was an old house that everyone called the Gable House. It had a peculiar room filled with forgotten toys and dusty shelves. Whenever the sun set, a faint sound echoed through the air, resembling a child’s sobs. Curious about the noise, I decided to investigate.

One evening, after gathering my courage, I stepped closer to the house. As I approached a window, I spotted a woman dressed in flowing blue, cradling a small bundle in her arms. She seemed lost in thought, staring into the distance. I rushed to tell my family, but they dismissed my claims as mere imagination.

Determined to uncover the truth, I crept inside the house, the sobbing growing louder in my ears. I climbed to the attic, drawn by the sound. There, I found the woman with the baby. As soon as our eyes met, the crying ceased. The room fell silent, and the woman slowly turned away, fading from view.

In the weeks that followed, the crying never returned, and the blue figure vanished from my sight. I shared my experience with my friends, but they laughed it off. A year later, I overheard my brother telling our parents about a blue woman he had seen. I urged him to visit the attic and face the mystery, just as I had done. He hesitated but eventually followed my advice, and after that, the house was quiet once more.
