In Burman City, a veneer of tranquility is violently ripped away when five corpses surface in its murky waters, casting a pall of dread over the community. Detective Mayer Hackett, haunted by the gruesome discovery, plunges into a shadowy investigation that peels back the city’s pristine facade to reveal a festering underbelly of corruption and whispered secrets. As he follows a trail of chilling clues, every ally becomes a suspect, and the line between hunter and hunted blurs. With each revelation, Hackett realizes the true horror isn’t just in the bodies—it’s in the silent complicity that allowed the darkness to fester, and the terrifying possibility that the next victim could be anyone, even him.
