After a car accident leaves him in a coma for five years, Johnny Smith wakes to find he has been granted a terrifying gift: the ability to see the future with a single touch. But this power is a curse, dragging him into the dark recesses of others’ fates. As he grapples with the moral weight of his visions, he is forced to confront a chilling destiny that could change the course of history. Directed by David Cronenberg, this psychological thriller is a slow-burn descent into dread, where every revelation peels back another layer of fear. User Reviews
PsychicSnoop – 8/10
“Cronenberg really knows how to unsettle you. The atmosphere is thick with dread, and Walken's performance is hauntingly good. The psychic scenes gave me chills. Definitely one of the best Stephen King adaptations.”
HorrorNostalgia – 7/10
“It's a slow burn but so worth it. The build-up is patient, and the climax hits like a punch. I loved the moral dilemma at the core. It felt like a thinking person's horror.”
SlasherSam – 6/10
“Not your typical horror, but the psychological tension keeps you hooked. Walken is amazing, but I wish the pacing was a bit faster. Still, the final act is genuinely chilling.”
CineScare – 9/10
“Cronenberg is a master of body horror, and here he trades that for psychological terror. The scene where he touches the politician is burned into my brain. This movie is a masterpiece of unease.”
