In 1981, a deep-space salvage crew aboard the starship Vertigo stumbles upon a gelatinous blob on an uncharted planet, mistaking it for a harmless specimen. But once aboard, the oozing mass begins to grow, revealing a ravenous appetite for human flesh—and an unsettling talent for Vegas-style lounge banter. As the creature picks off the crew one by one, the survivors must confront a terror that’s equal parts cosmic and comedic, in a B-movie romp where every shadow hides a gooey surprise.
