In the shadowy corridors of a decaying asylum, a brilliant but unhinged physician delves into forbidden science, obsessed with the ultimate taboo: resurrecting the dead. Surrounded by the howls of the mad and the fading breaths of the dying, he finds a steady supply of human guinea pigs for his gruesome experiments. As he edges closer to the precipice between life and death, the line between savior and monster blurs, and the asylum’s walls seem to close in with whispers of the damned. Víctor Manuel’s chilling 1945 classic ‘O Louco’ is a descent into madness where science becomes a twisted prayer and the dead may not rest in peace.
