In 2007, author Phillip Muirhouse, seeking authenticity for his latest book, ventures alone into the notoriously haunted homestead Monte Cristo, a place where whispers cling to the walls and shadows move with intent. Breaking the cardinal rule of every ghost hunter—never be alone—he records his descent into a nightmarish ordeal that blurs the line between reality and the supernatural. What unfolds is a chilling piece of footage, a raw and unedited testament to fear, culminating in events that would lead to his arrest. With a haunting atmosphere that simmers with dread, Muirhouse is a slow-burn descent into madness that will leave you questioning what lurks in the dark.
