When a young man inherits a crumbling mansion deep in the Florida swamps from an uncle he never knew, the promise of fortune quickly turns into a nightmare. Accompanied by his loyal assistant and the estate’s mysterious executor, he discovers the house is far from empty—a shadowy figure is seen crawling through a window, and the staff, as they arrive, whisper of an unholy presence that lurks within the decaying walls. As unsettling occurrences mount and a young woman’s fate becomes entangled with the house’s dark secrets, the new heir must unravel the truth before the swamp claims more than his inheritance. A classic silent horror film that crawls under your skin and lingers like the mist over the bayou.
