When a mysterious and terrifying rabies-like plague sweeps through a quiet small town, young Virginia is left alone as her father Emilio rushes to aid his brother Ostrosky, whose eldest daughter Julia lies dying from a bizarre and unexplained ailment. As the hours stretch into a suffocating night, the line between sanity and infection blurs, and the darkness outside begins to mirror the creeping dread within. With its chilling atmosphere and psychological tension, ‘El día trajo la oscuridad’ masterfully explores the fragility of hope when faced with an unseen, malevolent force.
