CelluloidShadows – 7/10
“I was totally absorbed by the eerie atmosphere and the bizarre characters. The color process gives it a dreamlike, unsettling quality. Not the scariest, but it definitely has that classic horror charm.”
GoreHound – 5/10
“It's a bit dated and the 'Moon Killer' reveal didn't really scare me, but the makeup effects and the creepy mansion setting were a plus. Good for a rainy afternoon if you're into vintage horror.”
FinalGirlFay – 8/10
“I loved the mix of dark humor and genuine creepiness. The scene where they recreate the murder for the suspects gave me chills. Definitely a hidden gem of early sound horror.”
MoonshineMustache – 6/10
“It's a decent watch, but the pacing dragged in the middle for me. The ending is wild, though! I can see why it's a cult favorite, even if it's not my top pick.”
