In the heart of Northwest Arkansas, a tight-knit queer community becomes the hunting ground for a remorseless predator. As the body count rises, paranoia and fear seep into their safe haven, eroding the bonds that once held them together. Director Eris Eris crafts a chilling, unflinching portrait of survival against an enemy that seems to know their every move. With its raw, visceral tension and a deeply unsettling atmosphere, ‘Authentic’ is a harrowing journey into the heart of darkness that lies just beyond the suburban veneer.

User Reviews
SlasherStan – 8/10
“This one really got under my skin. The way the tension builds is masterful, and the performances feel so raw and authentic. Definitely one of the better indie horrors I've seen this year.”
QueerHorrorFan – 9/10
“Finally, a horror film that treats LGBTQ+ characters with depth and doesn't shy away from their experiences. The scares are real, but it's the emotional weight that stays with you. A must-watch.”
CinephileDestroyer – 5/10
“I appreciate the attempt at social commentary, but the pacing felt off and the kills didn't land for me. The atmosphere was there, but the story needed more polish.”
NightTerror – 8/10
“The setting is used perfectly – the small-town claustrophobia amplifies the dread. The killer is genuinely menacing, and the final act had me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend for genre fans.”
