The Unseen Guests of the Grand Hotel

I managed the daily functions and security at the Grand Hotel for two years. During that time, the staff and I witnessed many odd events. The front desk would get calls from rooms that had no guests registered. When we investigated, the rooms were always silent and vacant.

In the main ballroom, music and laughter would sometimes drift through the doors. The moment we stepped inside, the sounds would vanish, leaving a perfectly still and empty hall. Upstairs, the shadow of a figure would sometimes appear against a window in a locked apartment, only to be gone when we entered.

The old garden pavilion was the most active spot. You could clearly hear the rustle of movement and the scrape of furniture from the upper level. But as soon as you climbed the stairs to look, the noises would stop. The moment you stepped back down, the activity would start all over again.

The company owners never offered any explanation. We had a few spiritual advisors visit the property. They told us that long ago, during the hotel’s renovation, two workers had passed away in separate accidents. One was in the main ballroom. The other was in the garden pavilion. The unusual events began not long after.
