What day is it? Right, it’s October 12th, a Friday. I’m feeling a bit out of sorts, like I’ve just returned from a strange carnival. A carnival of shadows. There was so much to experience, and the main attraction was the rumor that the old mill was truly filled with spirits!

That evening, I joined the Spectral Research Group in a small New England town. We gathered first at a local diner for a short meeting, and I quickly drank my large black coffee. Let’s list the team members present, the clock showed 9:00 p.m.: Elena Vance, Team Leader; David Chen; Sarah Jenkins; Michael Reed; Lisa Cortez, Archivist; Anna Flores; Kevin Moore; Technical Head, Mark Evans; Lead Investigator, Rachel Scott; Gina Potter, Robert Hill; the Chronicler.

After our talk at the diner, we drove in a line to the mill. The caretaker mentioned the building had stood since the 1920s. He was a historian and had all kinds of old tools and drawings inside.
