On a warm afternoon, Lena and her friend Chloe were searching for Chloe’s brother Mark and his friend Sam. They had looked everywhere outside and decided to check the master bedroom.

As soon as they stepped inside, the door slammed shut behind them. The room was cold and silent. They quickly pulled the door open again, but the large room was completely empty. They looked under the bed and in the closet, but found no one. The window was locked from the inside.

Frightened, the two girls ran downstairs and found Mark and Sam in the kitchen, eating snacks. They asked how the boys had managed to leave the bedroom without being seen. Mark and Sam looked confused and said they had been in the kitchen for an hour.

After hearing the story, the boys agreed to go look. They all went back upstairs. The bedroom was quiet and ordinary. Mark and Sam laughed, saying the girls had imagined the whole thing. When the adults came home, Lena and Chloe tried to explain, but nobody would believe them.
