I’ve always been curious about ghosts, so one night, I finally decided to see for myself. I joined a small group on a paranormal tour of an old prison, eager to find out if the stories were true. The guide explained how to use the ghost-hunting tools and shared some eerie experiences others had before leading us inside.
The prison was dark and heavy with silence. The guide showed us pictures of strange figures caught on camera and told us certain words could get a response from the spirits. I grabbed a spirit box and headed toward the solitary cells. If any place had lingering energy, it had to be there—where prisoners spent their last days alone, waiting for their fate.
As I stood in the dimly lit corridor, I noticed small glowing orbs moving past me. My spirit box, however, stayed quiet. I tried calling out, mentioning the name of the cruel warden who once ruled this place. That’s when I heard it—the faint sound of footsteps shuffling across the cold floor.
I turned quickly, but no one was there. My heart pounded. I kept recording, and later, when I played back the audio, I heard something even more chilling—a low, menacing growl. The air had felt thick, as if someone unseen had been standing close the entire time.
As I walked out that night, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was watching me, waiting. Maybe one day, I’ll return and find out what really lurks in those dark halls.
