I never thought much about ghosts or signs from the afterlife, but this experience changed my mind.
A few months ago, I started learning to draw. I’m not great at it yet, but I enjoy it. My grandmother passed away alone, which still breaks my heart. She always loved roses—simple yet beautiful red roses.
One morning, I went for a walk and then came home, feeling a little sad. I told my smart speaker to play “Yesterday” by The Beatles, a song that always reminds me of her. After that, I decided to draw a rose as a tribute. Underneath, I wrote, “Forever in our hearts, with love.”
I finished around noon and shared the picture on social media, adding a little message: “I hope you like it, Grandma.”
Not long after, as I sat watching an old TV show, something strange happened. My smart speaker made a sound, like it was waking up. Then, out of nowhere, it said, “That was Yesterday by The Beatles.”
I was shocked. I had played that song hours before, and the speaker had never randomly repeated a song like that before.
I smiled and whispered, “Thank you, Grandma. I know you saw my drawing.”
It was a small but powerful moment—one that made me believe she was still watching over me.
