One evening, Emma and her close friend Mia were at home enjoying a movie marathon. They had their two dogs, Max and Bella, curled up beside them. Before settling down, they made sure all the windows and doors were securely closed.

As they laughed at the film, a sudden noise caught their attention. They exchanged puzzled glances when they heard a faint creaking sound coming from the back door. Hesitantly, they stood up to investigate, only to find the door firmly shut.

Confused, they locked it once more and reassured each other that everything was fine. They returned to their movie, but moments later, the same creaking sound echoed through the house again. To their surprise, the door was now unlocked despite their previous efforts.

Curiosity getting the better of them, Emma peered out the back window. A shadowy figure flickered at the edge of the yard. She opened the door and called out, “Is anyone there?” Silence enveloped the night. Her heart raced as she turned back to the window, only to spot a ghostly figure hovering near the shed, glowing faintly in the darkness.

Emma quickly grabbed her phone and called her brother, who rushed home. When he arrived, he shared a chilling story. He recounted how a woman had once lived in their neighborhood and tragically passed away near that very shed. It was said that her spirit lingered there, seeking peace.

Realizing they could no longer stay in the house, Emma and her family decided to move soon after. They left the eerie memories behind, and the shed was eventually torn down, the story fading into local legend.
