The adventure began when we took ownership of the old estate. It had been passed down to my father after my grandfather’s passing. This grand structure, which had stood for centuries, was a reminder of our lineage. The three-story building featured ornate balconies and a once-beautiful fountain in the overgrown garden, now silent and still.

The estate’s past was filled with dark tales. It had belonged to our ancestors since the early 1700s, and stories of spirits lingered in the air. Among these spirits were the original owners: Thomas, the father; Eleanor, the mother; along with their children, Matthew (19), Clara (16), George (12), Alice (9), Samuel (7), and little Lucy (4).

Legend has it that Thomas fell ill and was consumed by a dark force. As his condition worsened, he warned his eldest children that tragedy awaited them. One evening, while the siblings gathered in the dimly lit study, strange occurrences began to unfold.

A cold breeze swept through the room, and the shadows danced along the walls. The siblings exchanged nervous glances, sensing they were not alone. Clara, the bravest of them all, suggested they explore the attic, where many family heirlooms were stored. The others hesitated but eventually agreed, their curiosity piqued.

Clara reached for a dusty doll, and as she did, a whisper filled the room, sending shivers down their spines. The siblings knew they had awoken something ancient and powerful. They realized that the secrets of the estate were not just stories, but warnings from their ancestors, urging them to uncover the truth about their family’s dark history. United by this newfound understanding, they vowed to face whatever lay ahead together, hoping to bring peace to the restless spirits that lingered in their home.
