My room has always been the coldest in the house. At first, I thought it was just because of the one tiny vent in the corner, but now, I’m not so sure.
I’ve always had a wild imagination, so my parents never take me seriously when I say I see things. They just shake their heads and tell me it’s all in my mind. But last night, I caught something real—something I wish I hadn’t.
It started with a feeling. That heavy, suffocating feeling of being watched. At first, I tried to ignore it, but it wouldn’t go away. It felt like someone—something—was right above me, staring down. My skin prickled, and my heart pounded, but there was nothing there.
I grabbed my phone, switched on the camera, and pointed it toward the ceiling. I let it record for a while, then stopped it and played it back.
That’s when I saw it.
A face. A pale, white face hovering right above me. No eyes, no mouth—just a blank, stretched-out face staring down.
I shot up, turned on the light, and searched every inch of my room. Nothing. No shadows, no objects that could have made that shape.
I didn’t sleep there that night. I took my blanket and moved to the living room, too scared to close my eyes.
But it didn’t stop there.
Today, while cleaning my room, I kept feeling something tap my shoulder. Light at first, like a gentle poke, then firmer. I turned around, but no one was there. I told myself I was imagining it. But then I heard it.
A cough. A whisper. A soft, raspy breath right behind me.
I spun around so fast my heart nearly stopped.
Nothing.
I was alone.
I don’t know if this ghost is trapped in my room or if it’s following me. But I do know one thing—I’m too scared to sleep in there ever again.
