I once worked with a friend cleaning a large, three-floor office building at night. At first, everything seemed normal—until little things began to happen.

One night, my friend told me she kept hearing her name, like I’d called her—though she knew I hadn’t. I brushed it off as fatigue. But as nights passed, strange events grew bolder.

We heard a foul odor rising from the kitchen on the second floor. Later, while collecting trash, we heard rattling at the glass doors—yet no one entered from outside. We both paused, hearts racing, but no one appeared.

Once I set a large set of keys down inside the front doors. We walked away, and when we returned—the keys were gone. We searched everywhere but found them only later, in the first bathroom we’d already checked. It felt intentional, like they’d been moved by unseen hands.

Phones would shuffle on their own—suddenly playing the radio when untouched, then turning silent as we walked away. It felt as if the office itself was reacting to us.

The scariest moment came one night in the elevator. A co-worker and I were cleaning waste bins when I stepped out to find someone else—but instead I heard laughter. I looked around, but the hallway was empty. Later, the co-worker who’d ‘laughed’ appeared, saying she hadn’t been laughing. A chill ran down my spine.

After that evening, things felt different—haunting and unsettled. I asked security to escort us to our cars each night. That building felt alive, watching us in ways we couldn’t explain.
