A few years back, I was staying on my brother’s land in a small camper. It was out in the country, quiet, with lots of trees and brush around. I spent my days helping clear out overgrown vines and thick bushes from the property.

One afternoon, I had just finished working and walked over to the side of my brother’s house to rest for a bit. The air was still, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I was standing about 20 to 30 feet away from anything—no trees, no furniture, no walls—just open space near the air conditioning unit.

Then, out of nowhere, I felt something behind me. A heavy, solid presence.

Before I could even think, I jumped back fast—so fast that I nearly knocked someone over. At least, that’s what it felt like. Like I had backed right into a person or something solid. But when I turned around…

Nothing.

I was breathing hard, heart pounding. I knew I had hit something. It wasn’t air. It wasn’t my imagination. It felt like thick wooden stumps, the kind you’d get if you chopped down a big bush and left the roots sticking out. Hard as a rock, rough, and unmoving.

But there was nothing there. Just empty space.

That was only one of the strange things that happened on that land. My brother ended up selling the place, but even now, I still talk to family about what we all saw and felt there. The more I hear, the stranger it gets.

My niece used to bring a Ouija board back and forth between the house and a friend’s place, playing with it late at night. She swears she saw shadows move when no one was around.

I don’t know if all the weird things that happened were because of that board or if something else was already there long before. But whatever I ran into that day… it was real. And it wasn’t supposed to be there.
