One evening, during our visit to a historic battlefield, I walked with my friends through the fields before our next tour. Our second tour lasted a few hours, and we heard about some eerie encounters that previous visitors claimed to have experienced. One story was about a bold tourist who stayed at a famous old inn and was confronted by two ghostly figures he initially thought were actors playing a prank.

We met another tourist from out of town and started chatting about different cultures and debunking some funny stereotypes. As we wandered through the fields, the tourist took pictures with her camera. When we looked at the photos, we saw what appeared to be four distorted orbs arranged in a diamond shape.

Being quite superstitious back then, I immediately thought these images were evidence of paranormal activity. Orbs are often seen by ghost hunters exploring historic sites, and I believed they were the lingering energy of spirits who had passed away long ago. To this day, I still feel a sense of wonder when I think about those events.

Are these orbs truly the leftover energy from the many souls who have yet to find peace? Or are they just natural phenomena that can be explained with logic and reason?
