When a fractured family relocates to a dilapidated house in the remote Indonesian countryside, they hope for a fresh start. But the crumbling walls hide a malevolent presence, and as the parents’ constant bickering reaches a boiling point, their youngest daughter mysteriously vanishes. Whispers in the dark and the swaying of an ominous tree outside point to an ancient, vengeful spirit known as Wewe Gombel, a ghostly woman who is said to take children from neglected homes. With the police clueless and the supernatural closing in, the family must confront their deepest fears to rescue their daughter before she’s lost to the darkness forever.

ScaryFan887/10

“The atmosphere in this one is genuinely unsettling. The creepy house and the constant dread really got to me, and the cultural lore of Wewe Gombel is fascinating. It's not perfect, but for a horror fan, it's worth a watch.”

GoreHound4/10

“I felt the scares were a bit predictable, and the pacing dragged in the middle. The child actress was good, but the parents' constant bickering got on my nerves. Overall, it felt like a typical haunted house flick with a fresh myth.”

NightOwl136/10

“I liked the eerie visuals and the sound design—it really set the mood. But the plot felt thin, and I wished they explored the myth more. Still, there were a couple of scenes that genuinely made me jump.”

HorrorHeart5/10

“It's an average horror film. The premise had potential, but the execution fell short. The scares were mild, and I found myself more annoyed with the parents than scared for the daughter. Not terrible, but not memorable either.”
