In the bleak Norwegian countryside, a tormented priest commits an unthinkable act, believing his wife’s infant is possessed by a demon. He takes the child to a remote cairn, stoning it to death while praying the evil spirit is trapped within the stones. Decades later, an unsuspecting soul disturbs that ancient pile, unwittingly releasing the malevolent force that has waited, patient and hungry, for its freedom. As the past resurfaces, the sin-stained ground begins to exact a chilling revenge on those who dare to unearth its secrets.
