Centuries of guilt and a bizarre curse have left vampire Wayne toothless, literally—unable to summon his fangs since a tragic mistake destroyed his one true love. Burying his misery in academia, he’s carved out a monotonous life as a college professor, until a new student named Chris, the spitting image of his lost Mary, ignites a dangerous obsession. When a late-night bite turns Chris into a fledgling vampire, her insatiable thirst spirals into a blood-soaked frenzy, dragging Wayne back into the violent underworld he thought he’d escaped. Now, he must confront his past and his powers to stop her from exposing their kind—before her rampage consumes everyone around them.
