In the unsettling found-footage horror ‘Abomination’ (2011), Christian rock musician Kurt Schroeder descends into a nightmarish spiral of faith, madness, and violence. As he documents his own life for a purported documentary, the lines between reality and delusion blur, leading to a harrowing exploration of obsession and the darkness within. Director Ryan McLaughlin crafts a chillingly realistic descent into depravity, where every prayer becomes a threat and every moment teeters on the edge of sanity. A disturbing and thought-provoking experience that lingers long after the credits roll.

“Wow, this one really got under my skin. The way it blends religious fervor with mental breakdown is terrifying, and the ending left me speechless. Not for the faint of heart, but if you like gritty horror, check it out.”

“I wasn't expecting much, but 'Abomination' is a masterpiece of slow-burn tension. The lead actor is phenomenal, and the descent into madness feels disturbingly real. I'll never look at a Christian rock band the same way again.”

“Solid found footage horror with a unique premise. The pacing is a bit slow in the middle, but the payoff is worth it. It's more psychological than jump-scare, which I appreciate. Definitely a must-watch for fans of the genre.”
CinephileSam – 10/10
“This movie is criminally underrated. The performances are raw and the direction is superb. It feels less like a movie and more like a confession. The ending will haunt me for a long time. Absolute must-see.”
