Igor would do anything for Polina, and when grief over their lost son threatens to consume her, they seek solace in adoption. But the boy they bring home from the shelter is far from ordinary—he carries a darkness that festers within their home, twisting their grief into something unspeakable. As the walls close in, the couple realizes they haven’t rescued a child; they’ve invited a malevolent force to fill the void left by their tragedy.
