Jacobo, a sculptor haunted by unresolved trauma, returns to the ancient, rain-soaked streets of Santiago de Compostela to visit his mother, who is locked in a psychiatric hospital after confessing to the murder of her husband—the father Jacobo believed was dead. But no sooner does he arrive than his father’s ghostly presence begins to stalk him, a spectral reminder of a death that occurred under the most sinister of circumstances: the thirteenth stroke of the cathedral’s bells. As Jacobo pieces together the fragments of his past, he is drawn into a web of dark family secrets and supernatural forces that blur the line between reality and madness. With each toll of the bells, the mystery deepens, and Jacobo must confront the chilling truth before the past consumes him entirely.
