In the dimly lit corners of a forgotten small town, a documentary crew stumbles upon a trove of VHS tapes that chronicle the raw, unfiltered lives of its most marginalized women. As the lens captures their daily struggles and fragile hopes, an eerie unease begins to seep through the footage—shadows that move when they shouldn’t, whispers that linger in silence, and a growing sense that someone is watching. The tapes become a harrowing descent into paranoia and dread, culminating in a chilling final reel that leaves behind more questions than answers. A masterclass in found-footage horror, ‘The Doll People Tapes’ blurs the line between reality and nightmare, forcing you to question what lies beneath the surface of a town’s darkest secrets.

ScaryFan88 – 8/10
“I went in expecting a typical creepy documentary, but the gradual buildup of dread really got under my skin. The performances felt so authentic that I almost forgot it wasn't real. That final tape? Still thinking about it.”
GoreHound – 6/10
“Not a bloodbath, but the atmosphere is genuinely unsettling. A bit slow in the middle, but the last 20 minutes make up for it with some serious chills. Worth a watch if you're into psychological horror.”
Tapeworm – 8/10
“As someone who loves found-footage, this is one of the better ones I've seen recently. The shaky cam might bother some, but the story kept me hooked, and the ending hit me hard. The emotional weight combined with the horror made it stand out.”
PhantomLover – 7/10
“The concept is original and the acting is solid, especially from the lead. I just wish they'd explored the characters a bit more before things went off the rails. Still, it left me feeling uneasy long after the credits rolled.”
