When a plane crashes deep in the heart of Africa, an American mercenary wakes to find himself the sole survivor in a land overrun by the ravenous dead. With no weapons, no allies, and a country teeming with relentless zombies, he must traverse the scorched and desolate terrain on foot, relying on his wits and will to survive. But in this brutal landscape, the human threat is just as terrifying as the relentless undead that hunt him at every turn. As he fights to reach the coast and escape, he discovers that the apocalypse has spared no one, and redemption may be as elusive as salvation in a world that has already died.
