User Reviews
SilentScream – 7/10
“For a film from 1916, the atmosphere is surprisingly thick. The supernatural elements are subtle but effective, and the obsession of the main character feels disturbingly real. Worth a watch if you're into classic horror.”
GothicGuru – 6/10
“I appreciated the historical setting and the slow build of dread, but the pacing might feel too slow for modern audiences. Still, there are some genuinely creepy visuals that stick with you.”
CardShark99 – 5/10
“It's a decent silent film, but I was expecting a bit more scares given the legend. The acting is old-school, and the plot twist didn't hit me as hard as I'd hoped. Maybe you need to be in the right mood.”
RetroHorrorFan – 8/10
“This is a hidden gem for fans of early cinema and horror. The way Protazanov builds tension using shadows and expressions is masterful. It's more psychological than gory, which I loved.”
