In the unsettlingly humorous horror-comedy ‘Nuts’, a man’s desperate attempts to escape his dysfunctional family and a relentless, shadowy assailant with a singular, excruciating mission spiral into a nightmarish comedy of errors. Director David Gardner crafts a taut, absurdist thriller where every turn brings a new wave of gut-wrenching tension and pitch-black humor. As the protagonist’s world shrinks to a series of brutal, low-blow encounters, the line between paranoia and reality blurs, leaving audiences gasping and wincing in equal measure. A darkly clever exploration of pain, avoidance, and the absurdity of violence.

CinePhreak76 – 8/10
“I wasn't sure what to expect, but this movie had me on the edge of my seat and laughing nervously at the same time. The premise sounds silly, but the execution is surprisingly tense with a great blend of dark comedy. The constant threat of the kicker really adds to the unease.”
GoreGoddess – 7/10
“The atmosphere is fantastic—you feel every hit, and the family drama adds a layer of cringe that makes it worse. It's not your typical horror, but it's definitely got that unsettling vibe. I loved how the film balanced absurdity with real dread.”
Skipwork – 5/10
“I get what they were going for, but it didn't fully land for me. Some parts dragged, and I found the constant gags repetitive after a while. There are some clever moments though, and the acting is solid. It's worth a watch if you like bizarre concepts.”
ScreamQueen1990 – 9/10
“This was surprisingly brilliant! It's dark, weird, and genuinely uncomfortable in the best way. The tension never lets up, and the main actor's desperation feels real. It's a fresh take on horror that doesn't rely on jump scares. I was wincing the entire time.”
