In a rundown boarding house, the tenants’ fragile peace is shattered when a vicious dog breaks free and savagely attacks a man who was taunting it. The dog is swiftly put down, but its malevolent presence lingers. A high-strung book editor, already tormented by the house’s other residents, begins to unravel as nightmares of the vengeful hound invade his sleep. Soon, the line between dream and reality blurs, and the mangled bodies of his tormentors start appearing in the most unsettling places. A slow-burn psychological horror that gnaws at your nerves, ‘Mongrel’ delivers creeping dread and gruesome shocks in equal measure.
