Four girls retreat to a remote, snowbound house to help their friend Iida recover from a traumatic car crash that claimed her parents, who were found frozen inside their vehicle. But the isolation and icy silence are shattered when Iida realizes the spectral Jäärouva—the Lady of the Cold—has followed her from that fatal night, determined to claim her. As the temperature drops and shadows lengthen, the friends are forced to confront a chilling presence that blurs the line between grief and terror, and a survival that may cost them more than their warmth.
