In the stifling monotony of suburban America, a neglected housewife’s quiet desperation becomes a breeding ground for something sinister. When a chance encounter with the occult offers a seductive escape from her loveless marriage, she begins to dabble in forbidden rituals, only to find that the true horror lies not in the spells she casts, but in the darkness awakened within her own home. As reality blurs and paranoia takes hold, George A. Romero’s chilling tale of transformation and moral decay turns the mundane into a harrowing descent into madness, proving that the most terrifying threats are often the ones we invite in ourselves.
