In ‘Hamlin’, Felix, a young man burdened by his family’s musical legacy, discovers an ancient flute that begins to possess him with a sinister, otherworldly influence. As the flute’s eerie melodies take control, his relationships crumble and his sanity unravels, leading him down a dark path where the line between obsession and malevolence blurs. The film masterfully builds an atmosphere of creeping dread, using unsettling sound design and haunting visuals to keep you on edge. Rachel Brogan crafts a psychological horror that explores the price of artistic ambition and the horrors that can lurk within inherited gifts.

“I wasn't expecting such a slow-burn nightmare. The way the flute's presence grows on you is brilliant—I could almost hear it in my head after the movie. The ending left me shook.”
GoreHound – 7/10
“Not your typical bloodbath, but the psychological tension is thick. The acting felt a bit flat in places, but the eerie flute scenes more than made up for it. Solid horror flick.”
NightOwl – 8/10
“The atmosphere is what sells this. It creeps under your skin and stays there. I loved how the music became its own character. Definitely recommend to fans of subtle horror.”
CrypticWhisper – 8/10
“For me, the scariest part was how realistic the descent into obsession felt. The sound design is superb—those haunting melodies will stay with you long after. A gem.”
