Five years after a tragic accident shattered the peace of a quiet Southern town, a new nightmare rolls in on two wheels. A figure on a moped—neither fully human nor entirely explainable—haunts the backroads and byways, leaving a trail of dread in its wake. As the body count rises, Sheriff Lillian Williams, a woman haunted by her own past, must rally her reluctant, ex-stoner son Dennis and her aging, hard-luck deputy Heck Jones to confront the terror. But in a town where secrets fester like summer heat, the line between the living and the revenant blurs, and the moped’s engine hums like a dirge for the unsuspecting. With time running out, they realize the freak isn’t just a killer—it’s a harbinger of a truth that could unravel everything they’ve fought to protect.
