In this chilling pre-Code psychological thriller, the imposing Victoria Van Rhody rules her wealthy family with an iron fist, but her control is threatened when her brother Rip brings home a young bride. Consumed by jealousy and paranoia, Victoria hatches a sinister plot to isolate Anne, culminating in a heart-stopping confrontation that locks her in a dark, suffocating vault. As the walls close in and secrets unravel, the audience is drawn into a web of manipulation and dread, where the line between sanity and madness blurs. Double Door is a masterclass in atmospheric terror, proving that the most terrifying horrors are the ones we create ourselves.

“The acting is solid, especially by the lead, but the pacing felt a bit slow for me. Still, that ending is a real gut punch. Worth watching for horror fans.”

“This film genuinely creeped me out. The idea of being trapped in a vault is terrifying, and the way the family dynamics unravel is so unsettling. A hidden gem.”
MrCreepshow – 5/10
“It's a classic, I get it, but I found the plot a little predictable and the scares are more psychological than visceral. Still, it's an interesting piece of horror history.”
