Every autumn, the isolated Midwestern town of Maple Hill holds its breath as a gruesome tradition awakens from the cornfields. The mythical Sawtooth Jack, a nightmarish scarecrow of flesh and fury, rises once more to hunt the town’s teenage boys through the rustling stalks. As the moon bleeds over the fields, the boys must fight not only for their own survival but for the harvest’s bounty that sustains their community. But this year, something is different—the ritual feels more sinister, and the secrets buried beneath the soil are clawing their way to the surface. David Slade crafts a tense, atmospheric descent into primal fear where every shadow hides a scream, and the line between myth and madness blurs.
