When cryptozoologist David Gates is hired to document his investigations, his latest assignment leads him to a remote town whose inhabitants have vanished without a trace. As David uncovers unsettling clues, he realizes the disappearance is tied to something far more sinister than he imagined. Returning home, he begins to experience bizarre, grotesque changes within his own body—signs that he’s brought back something far more than footage. ‘Cryptic Plasm’ is a slow-burn descent into biological horror, blending Lovecraftian dread with visceral body horror that will linger long after the final frame.

User Reviews
CineScare – 7/10
“The atmosphere is what grabbed me—there's this creeping unease that builds from the very start. It's not perfect, but the body horror elements got under my skin. Worth a watch if you like your horror a bit weird.”
GoreHound99 – 5/10
“I wanted to love this more. The concept is cool, and there are some genuinely disturbing moments, but the pacing drags in the middle. It felt like a low-budget indie with a few good ideas that don't fully land.”
HorrorVault – 6/10
“It's a mixed bag, but I appreciated the practical effects and the unsettling tone. The protagonist's slow transformation was creepy, but the story felt a bit disjointed. Still, it's a solid entry for die-hard horror fans.”
MidnightMoth – 4/10
“Honestly, it was a slog for me. The acting was okay, but the plot got too confusing, and the scares were more gross than scary. I see why some like it, but it just didn't click for me.”
