Deep beneath the arid Mojave, a tremor awakens something ancient and malevolent—cockroaches mutated by seismic energy, their glands secreting a volatile chemical that ignites on contact with air. As flames erupt across the sleepy town of Riverside, scientist James Parmiter uncovers a chilling truth: these creatures aren’t merely surviving, they’re communicating, coordinating, and experimenting with fire as a tool. Each experiment grows bolder, more intelligent, until their flickering signals reveal a terrifying purpose that extends far beyond simple predation. Bugs scuttle, sparks fly, and the line between insect and infernal intelligence blurs in this forgotten gem of 70s eco-horror.
