In the seedy underbelly of late-90s Hollywood, B-movie scream queens are mysteriously vanishing or turning up horrifically drained of blood. Two jaded L.A. detectives, more accustomed to shoplifting cases than slasher mysteries, stumble into a labyrinth of tawdry film sets and desperate wannabes. Just as they think they’ve cracked the code, a cryptic FBI agent slithers in, twisting their investigation into a nightmarish new direction—one where the true monster might not be a myth, but a cold-blooded predator who doesn’t need fangs to feast on fear.
