A seemingly ordinary family is torn apart when an ancient curse awakens, demanding a blood-chilling tribute. Forced to appease a vengeful ancestral spirit, they must surrender their daughter to a grotesque, headless statue in a ritual that blurs the line between devotion and damnation. As the entity’s wrath escalates, the family’s sanity unravels, and every shadow holds a new terror. With atmospheric dread and creeping unease, ‘Beheading’ plunges you into a nightmare where tradition becomes a monstrous bargain. Will they survive the ceremony, or become the next offerings to a beheaded god?

āThe atmosphere was suffocating from start to finish. The ritual scenes were genuinely unsettling, and the actress playing the daughter gave me chills. Definitely one of the creepiest horror films I've seen this year.ā

āIt didn't reinvent the genre, but it nailed the folk horror vibe perfectly. The statue design was haunting, and the slow burn really paid off in the third act. A solid watch if you're into ancient curses and family drama gone wrong.ā

āI appreciated the attempt at cultural horror, but some pacing issues held it back. The scares were more psychological than jumpy, which wasn't quite my thing. Still, the story was intriguing and the ending left me thinking.ā

āFor me, the best part was the emotional weight of a family being torn apart by an ancient obligation. The horror wasn't just in the supernatural elements but in the sacrifices parents make. It made me tear up a bit, which is rare for a horror flick.ā
